Objectives:

As a result of this presentation, participants will be able to:

 1.  Describe the importance of this field of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH).

2.  Discuss the challenges that exist in diagnosing mental health problems in young children.

3.  Appreciate the multiaxial framework and diagnostic nosology of DC: 0-5TM as it applies to

clinical work with young children.
