Music @ Wayne State Experience Days provide prospective high school, transfer and graduate students and their families the opportunity to experience life as a music major at Wayne State University. Students can meet Wayne State faculty and students, hear performances, attend classes, and tour our facilities. This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will be holding this event virtually. 

There will be two separate Music @ Wayne State Experience Days events held in January and February 2021. Students and their families are welcome to attend either day.

  • Saturday, February 27, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Optional Bonus Activities Offered During Music @ Wayne State Experience Days

Visit a class! Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a list of classes that will be available for virtual visits. You will have the chance to sit in on an actual Music class and get a feel of what being a Music Major is all about. 

Take a private lesson! Select program areas and instructors will be offering private lessons for event participants during the week leading up to the Saturday event.  More information will be provided about signing up for the optional activites.


To register for the Music @ Wayne Experience Days, complete the online form below. This event is open to prosepctive high school, transers and graduate students. High school juniors are especially encouraged to attend, and parents may attend as well. Once your registration is received particpants will receive a link that provides exclusive access to our Music @ Wayne State Experience Day Virtual Hub which will contain all information, Zoom links, sign-up for class visits and private lessons, and additional resources that will assist you in getting to know our department!
