SAA Student Chapter Monthly Meeting - March
This event is in the past.
Date: March 10, 2021
Time: 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The Society of American Archivists (SAA) student chapter will host two big events this month!
First, our monthly meeting will be held next week on Wednesday, March 10, at 8 p.m. EST. We will be seeking nominations for next year's e-board. General members are able to nominate themselves, current board members, or other general members.
Second, we are pleased to host Samantha Lawrence, an archivist at Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, on Tuesday, March 23, at 8 p.m. EST. The organization collects materials related to local history and the Taylor/Van Hoosen families. Samantha will be giving a virtual tour of the archival facilities and discussing current projects. The link will be sent out closer to the event.
Finally, we are excited partner with the Reuther Library to develop professional development events and collaborations. Reuther archivist Sarah Lebovitz has created a survey to see what kinds of events students may be interested in: resume workshops, job search assistance, mock interviews, etc. It takes less than five minutes to complete and will be a big help for the organization moving forward! If you would like to participate, please click here and complete the survey by March 10.
