Support the City of Detroit's Bike for Change Challenge by joining the WSU Office of Campus Sustainability for a Group Bike Ride to Eastern Market! Join us in the celebration of this effort by partaking in a fun 2-mile ride to Eastern Market on Sunday, June 27th at 10 am. The Sunday Market includes a variety of food vendors and art sales all lined by shops and restaurants. Meet us at the entrance of Old Main off Cass Avenue with your bike, helmet, reusable bags, and an appetite! View the route map here.

The Bike for Change Mini-Challenge is one of three mini-challenges a part of the larger Detroit Bike Challenge (May to October 2021). The purpose of this friendly, free Challenge is to promote and support Climate Change advocacy efforts by encouraging biking instead of driving in the city. To sign up, RSVP at the link above and register for the Detroit Bike Challenge by following these four steps:

  1. Register on this website, it's simple and easy.
  2. Add "Wayne State Student Body" to your Rider Profile under "My Clubs and Groups" to see all the WSU students participating in the Challenge.
  3. Log the group bike ride to Eastern Market on your profile before June 30th and enter in a raffle where you could win 1 of 3 $50 Plant Economy gift cards.

Don't have a bike? Bikes are ready for rent at the Mogo station located right in front of Old Main. Visit our website here to learn more about how to rent a bike with Mogo.
