Due to the recent flooding in Detroit, the group bike ride to Eastern Market was postponed. Join us for the new date for this event on Sunday, July 25th at 10 am.

Support the Detroit Bike Challenge by joining the WSU Office of Campus Sustainability for a group bike ride to Eastern Market! Launched by the City of Detroit's Office of Mobility Innovation, the Detroit Bike Challenge runs from May through October and encourages Detroiters to ride their bikes for transportation, sustainability, health, and fun. 

Join us in the celebration of this effort by partaking in a fun 2-mile ride to Eastern Market on Sunday, July 25th at 10 am. The Sunday Market includes a variety of food vendors and art sales all lined by shops and restaurants.

We will be departing at 10 am from the Cass entrance of Old Main, a route map is available for view here

Free MoGo Detroit bike passes are available if you don't have a bike! Sign up at the RSVP by July 19th to receive a pass.
Helmets are strongly encouraged and riders will be asked to sign a disclaimer prior to departure.
Students, staff, and faculty can register for the Detroit Bike Challenge below! Sign up and log your rides to enter in the chance to win a variety of prizes. 

1) Head to to register and create a Rider Profile.
2) Once your Rider Profile is completed, under your name there are options to add a workplace or a bike club or group. 

3) Add Wayne State as your workplace or bike club/group to see all the WSU riders participating in the challenge from WSU.
4) After that, you are good to log your bike rides and interact with other riders.
