The Urmila Gopal Singhal Memorial Lecture will be Monday, August 30th. This year features two speakers: Dr. Héctor D. Abruña, (Cornell University) and Professor Andrew Rappe (University of Pennsylvania). The lectures will begin at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. and a morning poster session at 10:30 am to 12:00 pm outside of the STEM Innovation Learning Center. *No refreshments will be served due to COVID restrictions.

Dr. Héctor D. Abruña: "Energy Conversion and Storage: Novel Materials and Operando Methods"
This presentation will deal with the development of new materials and operando methods for energy conversion and storage with emphasis on fuel cells and battery materials and technologies. 


Professor Andrew Rappe: "Lighting the Way: Anomalous Photovoltaic Effects in Novel Materials"
