The Center for Peace and Conflict Studies and the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute at Wayne State University are presenting a day-long webinar "Conflict Resolution Strategies to Engage Autistic Individuals, People with Developmental Disabilities and Caregivers". This webinar will teach participants to better understand how having a disability may make it more difficult to communicate in potentially tense situations. There will be a panel of autistic young adults, discussing how they handle conflicts and interventions they use to diffuse difficult situations. We invite participants who are sixteen years of age and older.

  • Morning Session: 9:00 - 11:45 am: First responders, teachers, social workers and parents
  • Afternoon Session: 12:30 - 3:00 pm: People over the age of 16 who have disabilities and their families
