In this virtual MI-UCP Assistive Technology Talk, Mike Bray from MI-DDI will discuss ensuring stakeholder voices are heard before, during and after design and deployment of Autonomous Vehicles.

 

Mike Bray is the Associate Director for Dissemination and Technology at Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute. He is also an instructional designer, researcher, and data analyst that has worked in the developmental disability field since 2003. From 2019-2020, a study was conducted by the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute (MI-DDI) to gain a better understanding of how Autonomous Vehicles (AV) can be used to meet the transportation needs of people with disabilities. This presentation describes the study and what people with disabilities told us about their transportation needs as well as the recommendations that resulted.
