Blink and they’re gone.  Across the world—and here at home—new political leaders and new political parties are emerging from nowhere to wield power, but what kinds of policy will they make when they have little hope of political survival and look forward only as far as the next publicity stunt?  Is it the kind we need for a world that is catching fire?  Building on his book The New Party Challenge, Kevin Deegan-Krause of the Department of Political Science and the Honors College will discuss political change and the importance of long time horizons even as attention spans are shrinking. This is a hybrid event. Should you wish to attend virtually, you MUST RSVP so that a Zoom link can be sent to you closer to the day of the presentation.
