Title: v1-periodic R-motivic homotopy
Abstract: Bachmann and Hopkins constructed a motivic version of the connective j spectrum. The homotopy groups of this spectrum are the v1-periodic motivic homotopy groups. We completely compute the homotopy of j when the base field is R. The key tool is the effective slice spectral sequence, which is the motivic analogue of the classical Adams-Novikov spectral sequence.
