The university community is invited to join NeuroCAST & TNI for a special seminar with guest speaker, Mohammed Milad, PhD. Mohammed R Milad (Moh) is a Professor of Psychiatry, Director of the Behavioral Neuroscience Program within the Department of Psychiatry, and Investigator at the Neuroscience Institute within the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Moh is also a Research Scientist at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research in NY state. He obtained his PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience, and post-doctoral training in functional neuroimaging. His work is focused on studying the neural correlates of emotion regulation, focusing on threat detection and extinction learning and retrieval. Moh’s work also focuses on the study of sex differences related to emotion regulation and the implications of dysregulated emotion regulation to psychopathology. Amongst Moh’s useless skillsets is that he is a private pilot.
The talk will be held in-person and virtually on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 12 to 1 p.m. Dr. Milad will present, "Neural Circuits of Fear Homeostasis”
