The 2022 Wayne State University Physical Therapy Research Symposium will feature a keynote talk, "Creative Approaches to Pediatric Assessment and Rehabilitation," by Jill Heathcock, MPT, PhD, associate professor of physical therapy and director of the Infant Lab at the Ohio State University. It will be held virtually via Zoom.
Abstract: Dr. Heathcock studies early motor development in infants and children who are at risk or identified as having a developmental disability. Dr. Heathcock will talk about her research, which focuses on the development of targeted interventions for pediatric populations with cognitive and motor disability.
Student research presentations from Wayne State's graduating class of Doctor of Physical Therapy students will follow the keynote talk.
