Social workers can be found in every facet of society working with individuals, families, organizations and communities. All of these positions require licensure by the state and preparing for the exam can be a daunting task involving months of study. In an effort to support our social work community on their journey to licensure, the Wayne State University School of Social Work invites you to attend our annual "ASWB Licensing Exam Panel". Thursday, June 9th, 5:30-7pm on Zoom.
This conversational panel will feature four experienced social work practitioners, all of whom have passed the ASWB Licensing exam. They will share their experience prepping for and passing the licensure exam, as well as answer student questions.
Panelists include:
- Kendra J. Wells, MSW ’18, Manager of Research Support at the WSU Center for Social Work Research
- Eric Shimmel, MSW ’18, Project Assistant for the Opioid Workforce Expansion Program (OWEP)
- Kristina Henning, MSW ’19, Clinical Social Worker at Southwest Counseling Solutions
- Lisa Gordon, MSW ’20, Clinical Therapist at Easterseals
