ISE annual PhD student research updates
This event is in the past.
Date: June 10, 2022
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Location: Manufacturing Engineering TBD | Map
All department funded GTAs/GSAs/GRAs/Rumble Fellowship Recipients (i.e., not the GRAs funded by individual faculty or doctoral students on non-WSU scholarship or self-funded) have to be formally evaluated at the end of the year for appointment renewal. If you are being funded as a GTA, GRA (funded by department but not the individual faculty) or GSA or through a Rumble Fellowship in the Fall or Winter terms preceding our Update Meeting, you are subject to this process (regardless of PhD program enrollment date).
If you're a non-department funded student, we strongly encourage you to also participate in this meeting, preferably to share your research progress or at least as an attendee to learn about other students' research.
As a part of this process, all funded GTA/GSA students will have to make a 15 minute update presentation to report to the faculty on their achievements/progress with the program (e.g., journal/conference publications, awards, teaching evaluations if applicable, coursework/grades, preliminary exams, qualifiers etc.), with more emphasis on the current academic year.
