Wayne State University's Center for Health Equity and Community Knowledge in Urban Populations - CHECK-UP - and the Karmanos Cancer Institute's Office of Cancer Health Equity & Community Engagement are pleased to present their 2022 Community Engaged Research Symposium Series.
 
The Wayne State University community is invited to the first symposium, LGBTQ Health Equity on September 21, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The symposium will be held virtually; the conference link will be emailed to registrants. To register, visit https://bit.ly/symposiumseries
 
The LGBTQ Health Equity Symposium will consist of brief presentations from researchers and community, preparing attendees for action-focused, breakout rooms. The entire group of attendees will come together to discuss next steps to help move work forward in the space of LGBTQ Health. This highly engaging symposium will focus heavily on discussion and agenda setting as beginning steps of the LGBTQ Health Research Network. The Planning Committee deliberately created an agenda addressing four overarching topics contributing to LGBTQ health inequities:
