Join fellow alumni and friends for the University Art Collection and Elaine L. Jacob Gallery Opening Reception for Confluent: Detroit Art and the University Art Collection.

This exhibition attempts to reveal how the university art collection continues to merge seamlessly with the art that is created in Detroit, by artists who have deep connections to this university. 

The artists in this exhibition represent many different generations, who have passed through the university at different times and trained with different faculty.  Each has been invited to explore the collection and select works that have a connection to their own, with the intention of developing an interesting new dialogue about art in Detroit.
