Amanda Scott, MPH, CHES, CPS works at a local non-profit Community Based Organization, Detroit Recovery Project (DRP) as the Prevention Program Director. DRP is an agency focused on Substance Use Disorder (SUD) issues addressing the local community. DRP believes this requires addressing the whole person, from physical health services to behavioral health, to community support. Amanda's role is to focus on primary, secondary and tertiary prevention for this population, which can range from educational trainings, sex health promotion, condom distribution, rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing, and Harm Reduction. Amanda specifically focuses on obtaining funding (grant writing), billing processes, community relation building, team management, grant reporting and community training.
