Wayne State Undergraduate Students: Learn Social Justice Skills from Social Work!

Today’s social justice issues are complex and deeply oppressive. Therefore, combating these forces requires a uniquely refined skillset and understanding of social justice. Being a justice-based profession, our social work curriculum teaches students advocacy, empowerment, and how to work towards a more equitable future.

Accordingly, the Wayne State School of Social Work is honored to share its social justice skills with all students at Wayne State through our undergraduate Social Work and Social Justice Minor. Completing the Social Work and Social Justice Minor equips undergraduate students with the practical knowledge necessary to develop solutions for the modern problems we face.

The Social Work and Social Justice Minor is open to ALL Wayne State undergraduate students who want a deeper dive into social justice advocacy through a social work lensTo best prepare students, the WSU Social Work Office of Admissions and Student Services (OASS) is providing three Winter semester Virtual Information Sessions specifically dedicated to the Minor.

Join our social work advisors at any one of the following virtual sessions for a thorough walkthrough of the Social Work and Social Justice Minor:

  • Thursday, January 26th

  • Thursday, February 16th

  • Thursday, March 2nd

A Zoom link will be sent via email after completing the RSVP. See you at the Info Sessions future change agents!
