Step Into Your Future - Resume and Negotiation Skills Share
This event is in the past.

If you want to find that dream job after graduation, you have got to be prepared! From the initial hunt to nailing your interview, there are several employment skills social workers should have in their toolbelt. The School of Social Work has got you covered though – from beginning to end of the interview process.
Join us on Monday, March 20th for a ‘Resume and Negotiation Skills Share’ session, presented by social work writing coach (and all-around professional development guru) Vanessa Gualtieri. This ‘Skills Share’ event will focus on two important bookends of the interview process: preparing your post-degree resume and how to respectfully negotiate for salary, supervision, etc.
Having a rock-solid resume will help get you in the door, and once you get that offer, knowing how to self-advocate becomes equally important. Social work students can start interviewing for jobs before they even graduate, so if you are walking this semester, do not miss our Skills Share event.
‘Resume and Negotiation Skills Share’ is one session within ‘Step Into Our Future’, our three-part virtual professional development series. ‘Step Into Your Future’ features three educational Zoom sessions, each covering essential topics for upcoming MSW or BSW graduates. Students are encouraged to attend each session individually or participate in all three. Each session has its’ own unique Zoom link, so be sure to RSVP for each event separately.
