Step Into Your Future - ASWB Licensure Exam Workshop
This event is in the past.

Getting your LMSW or LBSW – that coveted credential for social workers after graduation. Much like completing your academic program, getting your full social work license requires dedication and an understanding of the process. Part of the licensure journey includes the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Licensure Exam, which social workers take after completing 4000 hours of work experience.
When approaching the ASWB exam, new social workers have so many common questions, such as “what does the exam look like, how do I best prepare, and how do I apply for my limited license beforehand?”
Never fear: The Wayne State School of Social Work is ready to de-mystify the ASWB licensure exam and get students ready to tackle it with our virtual ‘ASWB Licensure Exam Workshop’ on Tuesday, March 21st 6-7pm on Zoom.
The Licensure Workshop will cover the fundamental basics of applying for your limited license and beginning to approach the ASWB exam. We will not be able to cover ‘everything’ licensure, but this session will be an excellent place to start for new graduates.
The ‘ASWB Licensure Exam Workshop’ is one session within ‘Step Into Our Future’, our three-part virtual professional development series. ‘Step Into Your Future’ features three educational Zoom sessions, each covering essential topics for upcoming MSW or BSW graduates. Students are encouraged to attend each session individually or participate in all three. Each session has its’ own unique Zoom link, so be sure to RSVP for each event separately.
