Become an accessibility activist. Join us for our accessibility “map-a-thon” as we seek to make Wayne State’s campus more accessible for everyone at the university by evaluating the buildings and streets where we study and work.
This event will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Old Main 0134 with a brief overview of the project, which will assess both physical access for individuals with disabilities and access to inclusive restrooms. With a clipboard and checklist, we will then conduct our evaluations of several features of Old Main. We will conclude by reporting any accessibility issues we discover.
If you need accommodations to participate, please reach out to Cherise Frost (am4242@wayne.edu).
Hosted by Student Disability Services; Office of Multicultural Student Engagement; Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies Program; and Social Work Disability Justice Coalition and Social Work Student Alliance
