Please join the WSU Planetarium and our partners, the Belle Isle Nature Center and the Michigan Science Center to do some astronomical observing at the Nature Center! Due to poor weather the event has been rescheduled to May 6th from 7-10pm.
Statewide Astronomy Night at the Belle Isle Nature Center
Activities include:
-Using Telescopes and Binoculars to view the Moon and other celestial objects
-Guided Twilight Nature Walks
-Planetarium shows in the Science Center's portable planetarium
-Hands on activities for kids
-Information about Dark Skies, Bird Impacts and Backyard observing tips from experts
If you've never used a telescope this is a great chance to try one out!
This event is free.
Parking is limited near the Nature Center.
