Black men, medical mistrust, and cancer: How can cancer care be more trustworthy?
This event is in the past.
Detroit, MI 48235
For decades, medical mistrust has been viewed as a problem among Black men that keeps them from cancer screening and care. Often, proposed solutions focus on changing men’s attitudes. This special Community Conversation on Cancer flips the focus and explores the question, “How can we change cancer care systems and make them more trustworthy?” Please join us for a morning of dynamic presentations and dialogue, hosted by the Black Men’s Cancer Action Council of Karmanos Cancer Institute at Wayne State University.
Date and time: Saturday, May 20, 2023 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Fellowship Chapel - 7707 Outer Dr W, Detroit MI 48235
