The Wayne State University School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education invites child welfare workers, family preservation workers, foster care workers and adoption services to attend one of our specialized child welfare trainings

Wayne State University Social Work Part-time faculty member Cassandra Bowers, PhD will be presenting "Understanding One’s Values and Beliefs and Their Relationship to Cultural Identity and Practice". This webinar will explore cultural humility and cultural competence. It will examine the basic concepts of cultural competence and cultural humility, the impact each has on the child and family systems of care and the concept of positionality when providing services. This webinar will utilize large group discussion and visual aids.

Attendees can obtain 1 social work CE upon completion of the training, payment receipt and passing of the post-training quiz. Cost: Free to attend and $10 for those seeking 1 social work CE. 

All attendees must RSVP by June 8, 2023 for this training. Attendees will receive the Zoom link upon completion of the RSVP.
