This presentation will discuss the challenges that people face when aging with
a pediatric-acquired disability like cerebral palsy, and what we currently know
about mitigating these secondary complications through physical therapy. The
presenter will discuss treatment options/opportunities that physical therapy
can offer adults. PT intervention can be very beneficial to help with issues of
pain, declining mobility, use of adaptive equipment, and impaired functional
independence as a result of aging with a long-standing disability.
