The Wayne State University School of Social Work invites you to attend the dissertation defense of Michael Broman on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 2:00 - 3:30 pm EST in School of Social Work Room 233 EST and on Zoom. Broman will present "Barriers and Facilitators to Substance Use Disorder Recovery Among College Students", both a qualitative and a quantitative study he completed. The qualitative portion will focus on how college students in recovery overcome barriers to recovery and build a sense of community. The quantitative portion will focus on correlates of high-intensity drinking among college students. Broman will conclude by discussing implications for practice and research.
