BSW Program Drop-In Thursdays
Social Workers use advocacy, education, intervention, research, policy, and organizational changes to enhance individual well-being and meet the basic needs of individuals and their communities. Social Workers are able to utilize their skills and knowledge in a variety of settings including mental health clinics, schools, child welfare and human service agencies, hospitals, community organizations, the criminal justice system, and private practices.
The Wayne State University BSW program prepares students for ethical, competent entry level, generalist professional social work practice, particularly in urban settings with diverse, poor, vulnerable and oppressed individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend an informational session prior to applying to the BSW Program. At the Zoom meeting, we will answer questions regarding admission into the program, and application process and requirements.
