Join us for an exciting tour of the art collection in the Undergraduate Library, the Prentis Building, Purdy-Kresge, and outdoor sculptures in the area led by University Art Collection Curator, Grace Serra. This is a great opportunity for WSU employees to reconnect as our academic year kicks off.

The Wayne State University Art Collection is used to educate and inspire students, staff, and the community. Founded in 1968, the collection has grown to over 7,500 works of art that celebrate Detroit artists and features the world’s most comprehensive collection of Detroit’s famed “Cass Corridor” art.  This amazing art collection is on view in public spaces throughout the entire campus, including a large-scale outdoor sculpture installation. We look forward to sharing this important collection that has been built through gifts by our community and is accessible to all.

Tours will be offered rain or shine at 10am, 12noon, and 2pm and limited to 25 participants. Please include your time preference in the RSVP and wear comfortable shoes.
