Did you know Old Main is home to Detroit’s first geology mineral museum? Learn more about it as well as visit the anthropology museum in this tour. This is a great opportunity for WSU employees to reconnect as our academic year kicks off.

In the Geology Mineral Museum, you’ll see over 350 specimens on display, including a collection of nearly 50 agates from across the globe, plus a private collection that once was owned by Thomas Edison!

In the Gordon L. Grosscup Museum of Anthropology, an Archaeology Lab outfitted with a variety of equipment will be featured along with a robust library.

Tours will be offered at 10am, noon, and 2 pm and can accommodate a maximum of 25 WSU colleagues at a time. Please include your tour time preference in the RSVP and wear comfortable shoes.
