Getting a job or career doesn’t just happen – it takes some planning. Join DD Council Staff and Youth Employment Ambassador Hosts, as we discuss how the Charting the LifeCourse tools will help you have the conversations, explore the vision, and plan the life experiences and supports to set you on your career path.

Learning Objectives:

  • Basic overview of the Charting the LifeCourse Framework.
  • Learn how the LifeCourse tools will help you think about your career goals.
  • See ‘real life’ examples on how to use the tools to support employment goals.

What can Charting the LifeCourse do for You?

  • People are using it to communicate their needs.
  • People are advocating for the supports they need to accomplish their goals.
  • Parents are setting higher expectations for their children.
  • Families are exploring the services and supports they need.
  • Parents, siblings, and family members are able to share their ideas, hopes, and fears for the future.
