2023 Social Work Core Orientation - Part 4

The Wayne State University School of Social Work invites incoming students to our Fall 2023 BSW and MSW Core Orientation! This four-part orientation will take place from August 21-24, 2023, and is designed for incoming students as a way to make new friends, learn the ropes, and get settled into the program. Join your fellow students to learn about field education, financial aid, student resources and more at these sessions! Students are required to attend all four mandatory orientation events.
At this Core Orientation Part 4 session, students will have the opportunity to learn more about the School of Social Work, and what to expect for the fall 2023 semester and beyond. During this in-person orientation students will meet other students as well as faculty and staff members to discuss the keys to success, how we prepare students to pass the social work licensing exam upon graduation, and curriculum. Students will also have the opportunity for a campus tour and to attend a resource fair to meet with student org leaders, program coordinators, and resource offices from across campus. Lunch will be provided.
