Humanities Commons Coordinator and Wayne State English Professor M.L. Liebler will offer visitors a sneak peek at this groundbreaking concept in academic collaboration from 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26.

The Humanities Commons, scheduled for a grand opening on Sept. 21, is an initiative led by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences that provides a dedicated space for students and faculty in the humanities and social sciences. The goal is to foster collaborative projects and intellectual engagement within these unique academic fields.

Located on the second floor of the Undergraduate Library, the space is designed to accommodate a variety of activities such as group projects, talks, film screenings, discussion groups, and mini-conferences. Additionally, the Commons aims to delve into the idea of access within civil society, with a specific focus on Detroit.
