From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Assistant Clinical Professor of Occupational Therapy Christine Kivlen is operating a drop-in animal assisted intervention clinic for graduate and professional students. When you need a break from studying or are feeling overwhelmed, pause for some time with paws and stop by the STudent Education: Learning aLongside Animals (STELLA) lab in room 1336 on the first floor of the Applebaum Building at 259 Mack. Up to five students at a time are welcome (please leave food and drinks outside the lab). You can stop by for a few minutes of puppy love or hang out longer — there will be comfortable seating, dimmed lighting and calming music available. Dr. Kivlen will be conducting research, so interested students have the opportunity to fill out a pre/post survey with the potential for videotaped responses. WSU Applebaum’s favorite Leonberger Stella will be among the therapy dogs ready to make your day — see you soon for snuggles!

[note: STELLA lab will be closed for Thanksgiving week on Nov. 22-23]
