Title: Introduction to Navier-Stokes equations and applications III
Speaker: Tao Huang
Abstract: Navier-Stokes equations is a very important PDE system in fluid mechanics. In this talk, I will review the history of Navier-Stokes equations: modeling, existence and partial regularity. Some applications in complex fluids will also be discussed, especially the applications in hydrodynamics flow of liquid crystals. This talk will cover all the basics and is for a broad audience including graduate students.
