Join Dr. Juliette Daniels from the University of Detroit Mercy for a discussion on the impact imposter phenomenon (syndrome) can have on students in health professions.

What do these people have in common: a student who thinks admissions let them in by mistake, a faculty member feeling everyone else is smarter, and an administrator afraid of the next big promotion? Impostor phenomenon! Impostor phenomenon (syndrome) is an intense feeling of self-doubt which often leaves an individual feeling like an intellectual fraud. This session will focus on the prevalence of impostor phenomenon in health professions students. Outcomes and mental health implications will be discussed; and participants will have an opportunity to utilize the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale to assess levels of impostor feelings.

Light refreshments will be available in the Commons before the presentation from 11:00am-11:30am. The presentation will begin promptly at 11:30am in the auditorium.
