Early in Zatina's career, she served as Assistant General Manager for business and development at WDET. She then went on to hold numerous leadership positions in communications, public affairs, fundraising and community engagement. Zatina spent a dozen years as senior vice president of government relations and community affairs at Oakwood Healthcare and Beaumont Health, where she was also responsible for marketing, public relations, internal communications and community health, and also served as chief of staff for the Office of First Gentlemen Daniel Granholm Mulhern and an advisor to Gov. Jennifer Granholm. In 2019, she returned to her first professional love – WDET.
