Title: Self-conjugate and double-real cobordism

Abstract: The self-conjugate cobordism spectrum, MSC, is the cobordism of manifolds whose stable normal bundles are complex with anti-linear automorphisms. Its coefficient groups have been an open question since the 1960s. In this talk, I will describe a new complete algebraic computation of the coefficients of MSC, by describing a collapsing "rectified" Adams-Novikov spectral sequence that converges to it. To this end, we also consider a similar spectral sequence for the double-real cobordism spectrum MO[2], as well as make use of techniques of structured homotopy theory, formal group laws and the motivic loop of Gheorghe, Isaksen, Wang and Xu.
