Healthy Boundaries for Improved Self-Care: MARVIN Wellness Event for Medical Residents
This event is in the past.
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In this virtual seminar, participants will learn about various types of boundaries, including how boundaries can be used to successfully engage in self-care, take meaningful and rejuvenating time off, and set the stage for healthier interactions at work and in their personal lives. Topics to be discussed include exploration of the types of boundaries, obstacles to setting healthy boundaries, and how to use healthy boundaries to improve self-care and interactions with others.
The seminar will be conducted by Heidi Schrumpf, PhD, JD, a licensed clinical psychologist with proficiency in health psychology and adult psychiatry. Currently a Behavioral Health Manager at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, Dr. Schrumpf leads a team of health psychologists embedded within medical specialty clinics and also serves as Consortium Director of an APA-accredited postdoctoral residency program.
The Office of Graduate Medical Education in WSUSOM is happy to offer this seminar under the auspices of MARVIN, a national behavioral health practice developed to help ensure the social wellbeing and psychological health of healthcare providers, including medical residents.
