The C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development at the Wayne State University School of Medicine will host the symposium “Maternal-Fetal Health: Bridging Science & Practice” from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 16, to held in person at 275 East Hancock Street in Detroit, and online.

Keynote Speaker:

Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

on “How effective is vaginal progesterone at preventing preterm delivery in women with a history of spontaneous preterm birth and a singleton pregnancy?”

The program, held in collaboration with University Research Corridor partners Wayne State, University of Michigan and Michigan State University, and Health Ford Health, will showcase a combination of basic science, translational and clinical talks, as well as a session in the area of pregnancy, infectious diseases and preterm birth.

The event will conclude with a livestreamed question-and-answer session geared for the general public to interact with a panel of experts, including symposium speakers.
