Dr. Jones joins Labor@Wayne, the Department of African American Studies, and the Department of History on Friday, February 23rd at 11:00AM for its returning Fraser Lecture Series. The event will be held in Hilberry D, on the second floor of the Student Center. 

Light refreshments will be paired with Dr. Jones' discussion on the nature of essential work and essential workers, public employment, and workplace dignity at this event, which is open to the public. Food and light discussion shall begin at 11:00AM with the main talk scheduled to begin at Noon and concluding by 1:00PM.

Dr. William P. Jones, of the University of Minnesota, is the author of books like The Tribe of Black Ulysses: African American Lumber Workers in the Jim Crow South, and The March on Washington: Jobs, Freedom, and the Forgotten History of Civil Rights.
