Please join us on Friday, March 1, for our next First Fridays in Anthropology event! This event will feature three distinguished alumni of the WSU Ph.D. program in Anthropology -- Dr. Angela Guy-Lee, Dr. Renady Hightower, and Dr. Gwendolyn Norman -- who will engage in a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Andrea Sankar, Professor of Anthropology at WSU. This will be a terrific chance to learn about diverse career pathways in anthropology, with a special focus on the relevance of anthropology for careers in health and education, and on the experiences of Black women anthropologists. Following the panel discussion, there will be an in-person reception.

This event will be held in-person (Anthropology Library, Old Main 1224) and online via Zoom. Registration is required to attend via Zoom; please click here to register. Registration is not required to attend in-person.

First Fridays are inviting, accessible, introductions to anthropological research, with a focus on the significance of anthropology for the public. Please bring your colleagues, friends, and family -- these talks are meant to be accessible to a broad audience. Looking forward to seeing you on Friday!
