Abstract
To better serve the WSU research community, the MR Core Research Facility is installing a state-of-the-art 3T human MRI scanner funded by an NIH S10 grant and Wayne State. The new MRI center will be located in the lower level of the EACPHS building. The new scanner will allow us to compete in the forefront of research in oncological conditions and neurological disorders and continue to be a leader in the field with respect to MRI research. The newly FDA-approved 3T MRI system features a strong gradient system with 200 mT/m at 200 T/m/s and AI-enabled new generation of MR technologies. In this informative seminar, the Core director Dr. Chen will introduce the new features of the Cima.X 3T MRI, and the imaging capabilities of the system by discussing research projects using human subjects and large animal models.
