Objectives:

1.  Describe how the gut microbiome can modulate substance use disorders.

2.  Explain why current approaches in SUD research may have inadvertently discounter how the microbiome can influence drug abuse.

3.  Identify gut microbiome targets that can be used as therapies for substance use disorders.
