TechTown Training Series: Customer Discovery

This workshop featuring Jennifer Ashman, president of CX Amplified, and Shaun McGuire, TechTown entrepreneur-in-residence, will give participants the chance to learn about customer discovery and apply tools that can help them create customers for life. This includes engaging with potential customers, gaining feedback from existing customers and mapping your journey along the way.
Customer discovery helps you refine your product before launch and find creative ways to improve and expand your business. Customer insights can be applied to develop a journey map, a visual tool that shows a customer's end-to-end experience with a product or service. Participants will practice creating a journey map and see how the tool can be used to help design and grow their businesses.
Learning objectives:
- Provide high-level customer research methods and structures to help entrepreneurs begin the customer discovery process and identify customer pain points.
- Teach entrepreneurs the fundamentals of how to conduct customer discovery interviews, including how to formulate proper questions.
- Learn about customer experience (CX): What is it (it is not Customer Service) and how can it help you increase customers and revenue.
- Learn and practice CX tools: Create a journey map that captures your customer's end-to-end experience with your company, from their perspective.
