This year the Virtual Brown Bag (VBB) series is focused on High-Impact Practices (HIPs). Teaching and learning practices are designated as HIPs based on evidence of significant educational benefits to students who participate in them – including and especially those from demographic groups historically underserved by higher education. This session will focus on Capstone Courses & Projects, which center on culminating experiences that require students nearing the end of their college years to integrate and apply what they’ve learned in a situation that approximates some aspect of disciplinary practice. We will be joined by Justine Gortney, director of assessment and associate professor of pharmacy practice, and Brian Mundo, associate professor of teaching in the College of Engineering. The VBB will have 15-20 minutes of recorded interactive instruction and examples, followed by time for you to ask individual questions. Feel free to enjoy lunch while you learn.
