"The Neurodevelopmental Hypothesis of Schizophrenia"


Objectives:

1.  Analyze the role of genetic and environmental factors in the development of schizophrenia according to the neurodevelopmental perspective. 

2.  Describe the structural and functional brain abnormalities associated with schizophrenia, as proposed by the neurodevelopmental hypothesis.

3.  Discuss the treatment implications of the neurodevelopment hypothesis of schizophrenia.
