Graduating College of Engineering seniors (May or August 2024 and those who graduated in December 2023) are invited to the 64th Annual Professional Society Induction & Ceremony.

Reception to follow from 3 pm - 4 pm in the McGregor Center

What is the Professional Society Induction & Order of the Engineer Ceremony?

Graduating Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Computer Science students are recognized in a formal ceremony.  

  • The Ring Ceremony is the public induction of candidates into the Order of the Engineer, during which the engineer candidates formally accept the Obligation of an Engineer and receive a stainless-steel ring to be worn as a symbol on the little finger of the working hand.
  • Computer Science graduates repeat The Pledge of the Computing Professional.
  • Engineering Technology division students get pinned in the Professional Order of Engineering Technology (POET)

This is an optional event- all BS College of Engineering graduating students are eligible.

Register by March 8, 2024 at 11:59 pm

Student registrants will receive more detailed instructions about the event.
