Street Team Description

Are you an outgoing and enthusiastic person who wants to gain hands-on experience in event production, sports marketing, and events promotions? Then the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear (CDGP) Street Team is the perfect opportunity for you. The CDGP is a non-profit organization. Street Team members literally “take our event to the streets” to promote the 2023 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear! Also, Street Team Members can gain significant event experience.

Enthusiastic, motivated, responsible, and dedicated individuals have the opportunity to be part of the CDGP Street Team. Prior to race weekend, May 31^st-June 2^nd, 2024, this group will be responsible for generating awareness and excitement about the Grand Prix within the Metro Detroit Areas. They will represent the Grand Prix at events such as Autorama, Hot Rod & Racing Expo, Detroit Tigers games, and many more! It is during race week/weekend that the Street Team Members will gain valuable hands-on event experience. This opportunity is a great way to gain valuable marketing, advertising, promotional, and event experience in a real-world work environment. It is also a great opportunity to gain exposure to the world of motorsports.

Possible Duties:

- Promote the Grand Prix at local Metro Detroit events several months prior to race weekend

- During race weekend your duties will include, shadowing DGP Staff Members, working in multiple display locations, attending to guests needs and encouraging a fun time

- Participate in and help with set up and tear down at several major events  

- Participate in personal recruitment of family, friends, and acquaintances by getting the word out about the 2023 Grand Prix

Applicants must be social, outgoing, high-energy individuals who are enthusiastic about sports marketing, promotions, events, downtown Detroit, and the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. Applicants must be 18 years old or older.  If interested, please email ekrueger@detroitgp.com.
