Walk With A Doc
This event is in the past.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Office of Faculty Affairs & Professional Development will launch Walk With a Doc.
The program is an international nonprofit organization started by David Sabgir, M.D., a cardiologist in Columbus, Ohio. In 2005, Dr. Sabgir invited 100 patients and community members to go for a walk with him in a local park. Since that day, the movement has spread around the globe and now hundreds of communities are enjoying the countless benefits of walking with their health care providers on an ongoing basis.
Walk with Teena Chopra, M.D., assistant dean for Faculty Development and Coaching, June 3. Check-in time: 11:30 a.m. at the main entrance to Scott Hall. Walk time: 11:45 a.m.
The goal is to provide junior faculty with assistance and guidance for their career advancement in a relaxed setting. People of all ages, fitness level, and backgrounds are welcome to these free, ongoing events. Participants will spend the time enjoying a healthy walk at their own pace while connecting with faculty.
