Challenge and Support: Academic Integrity and Student Success at Wayne
This event is in the past.
As we challenge students to learn and grow, we also support them with the tools to do excellent, original work they can take pride in. To promote a culture of academic integrity, it takes all of us. This 60-minute virtual session features remarks from Nikolina Dmitruchina, Assistant Dean of Students and Student Conduct Officer; Tonya Whitehead, Associate Director, Office for Teaching and Learning; and a Q&A period including Angela Zanardelli, Director, Student Success Operational Strategy. Participants will learn 1) what to do if they suspect a student of academic dishonesty, 2) what happens when faculty report suspicion of academic dishonesty, and 3) how to promote a classroom culture of academic honesty, including clever course design tips. Participants will also learn from each other; please come ready to share your concerns, stories, and strategies to share with your faculty community. To be sure participants feel comfortable to explore, learn, and grow in the moment, we will not be recording this session. If you are unable to attend, but are interested in this conversation, please email otl@wayne.edu for related resources.
